Warrap Assembly summons state governor over bypassing approval

The South Sudanese Warrap State’s Legislative Assembly has decided to summon Governor Nyandeng Malek to appear before the parliament in order to explain why she omitted to table the list of the newly named state government without the approval of the state’s Assembly.

In a statement to Radio Tamazuj, Madut Dut Deng said that Malek has violated the Warrap State Transitional Constitution.

The newly appointed ministers were sworn in before the governor without prior approval by the state’s Assembly.
