The Torit County Council has summoned Commissioner German Charles Ojok to answer questions after the killings of 12 people in Loudo Boma on 28 August. 

Emmanuel Radio reports that the Torit County legislators summoned the official on Thursday to answer questions about the killing of nine women and three children in Loudo Boma late last month.

In the aftermath of the killings the commissioner had explained that the victims were travelling to a funeral at Omorwo in the same boma when they were attacked by unknown people.

This week in Torit he told the press that the county councillors summoned him to express concern about the lack of accountability for the perpetrators and the insecurity in the area.

Ojok said he condemned the killing of innocent women and children, advising the people of Omorwo not to revenge.

Torit County Council Chairman Ephraim Oromo said the Loudo incident had “forced residents into disarray,” according to Emmanuel Radio.
