Teachers in Northern Bahr al Ghazal state have called for incentives and allowances to be re-included within teachers’ salaries for the next salary disbursement and also for back pay to be paid out.

A number of teachers who spoke to Radio Tamazuj said that they have not received pay for November, without any clear reasons being given so far.

Teacher Kuot Anyuon Dau said, “Not only the teachers but all the state employees have not been paid until now,” referring to November pay.

He also said that allowances need to be included in their pay.

“The other thing is the December 2013 salary still has not been given to us. Those are the two things.
