Sudan’s Sennar state is scheduled to host the inter-school competition beginning 16 December.

Idris El Geid, the Sennar state minister, told Alshrouq TV they had stopped all government construction works so they could focus exclusively on the inter-school competition.

About 7,000 students from across the Sudanese states are scheduled to participate in the competition.

A high committee is working with the state government to identify places where participants can stay. He also said that a committee from the national ministry of education comes every week to acquaint itself with ongoing preparations for the competition.
