Sudan's Bashir removes ministers, VPs

The President of Sudan Omar al Bashir late yesterday issued decrees removing the entire cabinet, both vice presidents, his presidential advisors and the ministers of state. Bashir's decision came shortly after his inauguration ceremony for another five years term in office.

Ibrahim Ghandour, Vice President of the National Congress Party, said that the president would form a new government shortly, within a matter of days.

As quoted by media in Khartoum, Ghandour said that the president would appoint a maximum of five presidential aides but would not appoint presidential advisors as previously he has done. Ghandour himself was one of the presidential aides who was removed.
