Security forces including SPLA-Juba troops loyal to General Salva Kiir have deployed between the two counties of greater Gogrial after recent fighting between clans in the area.

Wol Anai Anai, Gogrial East County Commissioner, pointed to coordination among the governor and commissioners of the two counties to stop the fighting and put security forces in several places including where fighting had taken place.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj today, he also disclosed they are preparing for a chiefs' peace conference that will kick off next month mediated by delegations from Juba.

Anai also said some people who were displaced from the area are still fearing to return home but most of the displaced people have returned home and they are now cultivating.
