South Kordofan’s Kadugli ‘returns to normal’ as lorries loaded with commodities arrive

The residents of Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, are relieved with the return of “plenty of flour and fuel at the market” since the last two days.

Shop owners told Radio Tamazuj that the market has revived after the road connecting Kadugli with the neighbouring areas was re-opened, after it had been cut off by the clashes between the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N).

They said that “life returned to normal” in Kadugli after lorries loaded with food, other essential commodities and fuel arrived at the market.

The closure of the road had led to the sky-rocketing of prices in Kadugli and paralysed the activities of ovens and restaurants.
