Sennar court sentences three Blue Nile detainees to imprisonment

A special criminal court in Sinja the capital of Sennar State has issued imprisonment sentences against the SPLA detainees following the incident of Blue Nile State. In its sitting yesterday the judge sentenced three cases to imprisonment and the fourth case postponed to 17th September for further hearing.

Al-Tijani Hassan, a member of the Sudanese Organisation for Defence of Rights and Freedoms confirmed to Radio Tamazuj that imprisonment sentences have been issued against Musa Jah Allah under article 51 of the penal code 1991 as well as article 7 of the terrorism law 2002.

Hassan, who is also the lawyer defending the SPLA detained revealed that Amer Esir Ezaki and Abdullah Ezein Rajab, were accused under articles 21 and 51 of the Sudan penal code 1991 in addition to Anti-Terrorism law 2002, and Arms, munitions and explosives law 1986.

The lawyer also confirmed that certain accusations were dropped against Sheikh Ali Nur when the court because of the lack of efficient evident. The fourth case was deferred to the sitting No 17 in the next September.
