S Sudan govt insists on moving peace talks to Kenya

South Sudan’s government spokesperson Michael Makuei said Salva Kiir's delegation to the peace talks sticks to its position to move negotiations from Ethiopia to Kenya.

"The question of changing the venue and the change of the mediations is still holding," Makuei told reporters in Juba upon return from Ethiopia.

He said they are waiting for a response from the IGAD head of states. IGAD adjourned peace talks last week.

Makuei said that the recess will not count in the 45 day deadline given by IGAD last month for the two warring parties to form a transitional government.
