The UN High Commissioner for Refugees has released a report detailing the most crucial issues affecting refugees in South Sudan.

The report describes the delay in transportation for refugees further into South Sudan, as well as harassment and kidnapping of refugees carried out by Southern militias.

It said young people are in particular danger of being kidnapped in order to be recruited to militia groups.

A lack of food and medicine along with the sexual exploitation of female refugees continue to be pressing problems.

The report noted that interviews conducted to assess refugee issues and the status of South Sudanese citizens included a number of non-refugees in Jeberona, El Shajara, Al Kalakla Al Wudu, El Jaraif, El Andalus, Mayo and El Haj Yousif.
