Hundreds of South Sudanese refugees at Joda checkpoint along the Upper Nile- White Nile border report acute shortages of food and medicines.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, several South Sudanese nationals expressed discontent about the deteriorating humanitarian situations.

They say they are experiencing food shortages and medicines as well as lack of shelter amid heavy rains in the area.

They called on the national government in Juba to provide aid assistance to the people living in Joda checkpoint.
