Power and water cuts in Blue Nile capital

Residents in Damazin town in Sudan’s Blue Nile State are reporting water shortages and irregular power supply in various residential areas in the town.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, people in Hai Al Hijra West and East said they were experiencing an acute shortage of water and and an electricity blackout amid silence by local authorities in the area.

“We are experiencing water cuts, you struggle with your money to get water, no water, and people are suffering,” said one of the residents.
