A policeman shot dead three of his colleagues and injured four others Sunday morning in Khor Rumola area of Juba.

The shooting started at around 9:40 AM and continued for nearly two hours causing panic among local residents, a source told Radio Tamazuj.

The incident erupted following a dispute between policemen in Khor Rumola which resulted in one officer opening fire, which killed two policemen on the spot and injured one.

The policeman shouted he would kill many of the others even if he was killed too, a source told Radio Tamazuj.

Another source said SPLA forces were sent to arrest the situation. The wounded were rushed to hospital for treatment by 777 Police Ambulance.

The shooting was heard in Lologo neighborhood not far away from Khor Rumola.

It was not clear what caused the dispute.

Update: 20:30, 12 July 2015: The policeman who shot his colleagues was also confirmed dead. His body was taken to the hospital.
