Police recover 975,000 SSP stolen in Tonj over weekend

Authorities in Tonj South county of South Sudan's Warrap state have recovered 975,000 SSP taken from the Wildlife Service.

Deng Thuc Majok, deputy director of Warrap's wildlife services, said they recovered the money, which was meant to pay the service's November salaries, from an officer who allegedly tried to steal it from their office on Saturday.

Deng named the accused officer as Marjan El Marjan, Don Bosco Radio reported, and said the finance officer had uncovered the crime.
