The community of Wun-ngaap within Marial Lou Payam has elected Madhang Aliet Athian to head the area’s new boma administration for an unlimited term.

Madhang was one of three candidates for the position of sultan and won the election on Tuesday with 292 votes.

“Among the proposed sultans were Tur Ayai with 282 votes, Deng Kon Deng with 130 votes and Madhang Aliet with 292 votes. He has been declared the winner,” said Muorbek Mayol Geng, a director within the Warrap State Ministry of Information.

Wun-ngaap is a new boma within Marial Lou Payam, which now has five total bomas. The area is located in Tonj North County, Warrap State.
