NCF accuses Sudan regime of procrastination in Abyei

Kamal Omer, the official spokesman of the Sudanese National Consensus Force (NCF) has accused the Sudanese government of “procrastination” in resolving the Abyei issue.

Omer, who is also the political secretary of the position Popular Congress Party (PCP), said that the Abyei area is the gateway to unity between the two Sudans. He explained that the Abyei problem had undergone through several stages started with the ABC Committee report and recently was the conduct of Abyei referendum in October adopted by the African Union High Implementation Panel (AUHIP).

“It is up to the Abyei natives to decide either to joint South Sudan or to be part of Sudan without interference,” he said.

The position leader described the Khartoum regime as “war government” not in power for political settlements in Sudan. “Misseriya, being a nomadic tribe, should maintain good relations with the Ngok Dinka because they spend most of their time in South Sudan’s territory” Omer underscored.
