A 52-year-old man was murdered in Gogrial East County of Warrap State, allegedly by one of his wives, leaving behind 50 children.

The deceased had six wives and 50 children. He was found on Thursday by neighbors lying on the ground inside his house in Pathuon Payam, and appeared to have suffered multiple injuries, including a broken arm and a blow to the head.

County Information Officer Mariak Madut Thiik, who spoke with police and neighbors while investigating the incident, told Mayardit FM that neighbors rushed in after the incident and found the man lying on the ground.

He said the neighbor suspected the youngest wife, who has three children. “The children were crying and the woman was asked by the neighbors ‘Why do you kill your husband?’ Then she started running to the police station at Yiikador,” said the official.
