Measles break out in South Sudan’s Maban County

Measles reportedly broke out in the area of Dalo in South Sudan’s Maban County.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, the county health coordinator, Mayak Malok, reported that 20 cases of measles have been recorded.

Malok noted that the 20 sick children have been transferred to health care centres for treatment. Some of them are already recovering.

He added that a vaccination campaign against the ‘six childhood killer diseases’ has started today (11 December) in Maban County.
