Hundreds of primary and secondary school students from West Kordofan’s Lagawa town marched in solidarity with area protestors.

Lagawa residents have been holding a sit-in for more than a month in Freedom Square to protest deterioration of services in the area, including a lack of water and electricity and poor roads.

The students who participate in this week’s march said they will join the protestors in Freedom Square. They have also barred members of students’ unions from entering their schools, arguing that they are government supporters and have blocked the development of the area.
