Witnesses in Kosti of White Nile State say that the town is witnessing a severe shortage of cooking gas.

A source from the town disclosed that the crisis started with an increase in gas canisters’ prices and thereafter these disappeared completely from the market.

People have returned to using charcoal, which also increased in price as its became the only means for domestic cooking.

Shortages of this kind in Kosti were also reported in August and December last year.
