Khartoum threatens to pursue Sudanese rebels into S Sudan

In what it described as "a legitimate move," the Sudan government has threatened to pursue its rebels into South Sudanese territory.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdallah Mohamed said that the government has information confirming rebel presence in South Sudan, adding that these Sudanese armed rebels receive support from Juba.

“What we want is for the South Sudan government to expel these forces so that we are not compelled to follow them into South Sudanese territory," said Mohamed while addressing the press at the National Congress Party (NCP) headquarters in Khartoum on Tuesday.

Mohamed pointed out that Khartoum has severally asked Juba to expel the armed rebellion and overcome outstanding issues with Sudan.
