Eastern Equatoria State Agriculture-Forestry Minister says a group of illegal armed loggers are threatening to exhaust Kalisoni natural forest in Magwi County.

Clement Chichim Laku expresses fear that the illegal loggers put the forest at risk of depletion, Radio Emmanuel reported.

The Minister observed rampant illegal exploitation of forests for charcoal by communities close to urban centres.

Minister Chichim also decried bush fire and uncontrolled clearing of vegetation, saying it is a serious threat.
