A fire that broke out on Friday in Yida camp destroyed 11 houses, as well as stored grain and money.The fire in Block 1 of the camp started at 3:30 p.m. resulting in the destruction of SSP430 in cash, 11 sorghum sacks, and four groundnut sacks.

Mohammed Kua Basha speaking to Radio Tamazuj at the scene of the fire appealed to fellow refugees to keep the environment around their houses clean to avoid the problem of fire.
