Senior 4 leaver killed in Rumbek

A senior four leaver was shot dead at the house of the former Lakes state speaker in Rumbek on Thursday evening, local government minister Samuel Wel said. 

Wel idenified the student as Monywat Mathiang Majuec Rilpuou of the Gok community. He urged the family of the deceased to be calm and leave the government to take its measures.

Monywat's uncle James Makec Mading said the killing was an act of terror.

Police recover 27 stolen cars

Police in Central Equatoria State announced that they have recovered a number of 27 stolen vehicles in Juba on Tuesday.

They said the criminal network who took the cars was responsible for most of the car hijackings in Juba.

Shooting leaves one SPLA soldier dead in Juba 

One SPLA soldier was shot dead during a dispute between two soldiers in Giyada on Monday.
