Unknown armed men on Saturday evening kidnapped a vehicle belonging to the petroleum engineering faculty of Babanusa Peace University.

A local source told Radio Tamazuj that the armed group consisting of five members using motorcycles threatened the driver of a rickshaw at gunpoint while he was on the way to Muglad town.

The kidnappers the moved away with the vehicle, and dragged away an officer in the university accounting department and the driver away to an unknown destination.

Babanusa Peace University was initially established on the premises of Juba University in Khartoum after the latter was transferred back to South Sudan.
