Christmas not official holiday in Khartoum

Sudanese Christians celebrated Christmas last Thursday without the designation of the day as an official holiday as it had been before the secession of South Sudan in the year 2011.

The cleric who presided at the Christmas celebrations at the Sudanese Christian Church (SCC) in Khartoum called upon believers to help stop war and to refrain from provoking actions against the church.

He further urged believers to show more sympathy adding that there are a lot of Sudanese today in need of sympathy.
