A man was found dead on Tuesday morning in South Sudan’s capital Juba on a road in Munuki residential area.

Passersby told Radio Tamazuj that police officers were seen gathered on Tuesday morning at the site where the body of the unknown man was found. They further said the police authorities were preparing to take the dead body to mortuary in order to carry out an autopsy.

Juba has witnessed surging crime since the outbreak of conflict in December 2013 between government troops and SPLA-IO rebel forces led by former Vice President Riek Machar.
