Basketball: Munuki narrowly beats Citizen

Citizen (in white) narrowly beat Munuki (in red) by a score of 58-47 on Thursday in the fourth week of the basketball competitions of the Central Equatoria Basketball Association (CESBA).

Explaining the loss, Munuki’s coach John Agar said members of his team did not play as a team together, but he will work to correct what happened in the next game against Black Star next Friday.

Citizen's coach Hadaf said that his team also did not play at the level he wants, explaining that they lacked focus until the final minutes of play. He added that he hopes that his team will do better in the coming days.

On the 17th of this month Citizen will face National. According to Hadaf, the team matches up well against National in terms of height and skills, but they have not been performing to the best level.

Citizen's roster includes Ayuel Malaul Leek, Dorw Majak, Garang Kur, Seifeldin, Chan Koryom, Majak Atem Atem, Alfred John, Leek Malaul Leek, Gop Isiaac, Deng Goul Riak, Thon Marial, and Gabriel Geng .

Munuki's team includes Abraham Mabior, Wani Joseph, Chan Deng, Bak Lino, Dut Aguek, Mario Danntles, Wol Makuei, Isaac Peter, Madit Tieny, Ricky Manga, and John Akok.
