Authorities in Eastern Equatoria’s capital, Torit, announced they have arrested 17 people following a cattle raid last week that left 24 people dead.

Women and children were among the dead in the Idali incident.

Officials warned that the probe is still ongoing as they continue to try to understand what happened and who is responsible.
