Armed robbers in Wau of Western Bahr El Ghazal State on Tuesday night injured a wildlife officer at his home and looted money as they robbed several homes at gunpoint in Hai Jebel and Kresh residential areas.

Gasim Osman, who was wounded on his leg, explains that three armed men entered his home at around two o’clock AM, took the little money he had before opening fire at him and children in Hai Jebel, Radio Voice of Hope reported.

“Two were dressed as civilians and one was wearing a uniform, a unform like they army.”

Viola Martin, a resident of Hai Kresh, says three armed men also entered her home on the same night and looted all they had at gun point.

“At about 3:00 near morning, three armed criminals came while we were sleeping. We started to get up but they said to stay down, don't get up... they went inside and took telephones and money,” she said.
