At least two people were killed and one wounded in a shooting targeting a public bus on the road between Rumbek and Wulu in Lakes State of South Sudan. 

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Rumbek Centre Commissioner Mawet Manuer said a driver of the taxi bus was seriously injured and two passengers were killed at around 2:00 p.m. when unknown criminals opened fire on the bus leaving the capital to Wulu County. 

The commissioner said the rest of the passengers are safe because the criminals did not come to see the car after they had fired on it.

He said the state security are still pursuing the suspected criminals who shot at the public bus.
