Trade unions of the towns of El Fula and Babanusa in the west of South Kordofan have refused to meet with the representative sent by Governor Ahmed Haroun to the state.

He was sent to urge workers to lift the strike started on Sunday as a result of docked and unpaid salaries.

A number of employees told Radio Tamazuj that unions would not sit down with the representative as the Governor had not abided by his promise to ensure full payment of salaries for workers.
