There are reports of three soldiers killed and a driver injured in Nubuk, south east of Heglig, South Kordofan.

Sources said to Radio Tamazuj that a car carrying three soldiers and the driver of a vehicle belonging to an oil company was ambushed.

A group of gunmen shot at the car killing the three soldiers and injuring the driver.

The soldiers were deployed as guards for an oil plant in Heglig.
