South-South dialogue meeting kicks off without government delegates

An intra-South Sudanese dialogue meeting between stakeholders has kicked off in Addis Ababa without delegates of the unity government.

The program started with a word of prayer from Archbishop Justin Badi Arama.

The South Sudanese dialogue meeting is being moderated by faith-based leaders. The South Sudan dialogue is under the thematic, "Come and Let Us Talk Together."

Archbishop Justin Badi Arama urged the South Sudan parties to compromise for peace and forget about their political difference.

Delegates of the unity government have not yet arrived in the meeting hall.

Mr. Edmund Yakani, Executive Director of CEPO, said: “we are hoping that our parties can compromise for peace and resolve their political difference in a non-violent manner.”
