Authorities in South Sudan's Amadi State have raised concerns of increased movement of forces between Yei River and Amadi states causing insecurity in the region.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Sunday, Amadi State deputy governor Manase Deboi said the forces affiliated to non-signatory parties to the September agreement between government and opposition parties are looting and causing insecurity along the state borders.

He said citizens of Kategiri and Jambo areas have raised complaints to the state government that forces loyal to the National Salvation Front (NAS) of Thomas Cirillo Swaka are forcibly recruiting youths in the area, besides having troops in Khaira area of Yei River State.

The deputy governor called on the national government to organize a dialogue with holdout groups with the aim of ending hostilities against civilians and allowing freedom of movement.
