Police kill suspect in botched robbery in Juba
Police in Juba have shot dead one suspected criminal who was on a robbery mission in Referendum neighborhood on Tuesday, police spokesman said on Wednesday.
Cops on patrol ambushed three armed men as they attempted to break into the home of the undersecretary of the ministry of health Makur Matur Koryom, police spokesman Daniel Justin told Radio Tamazuj.
Police officers later took the dead body to Juba Teaching Hospital mortuary, he said.
Justin pointed out that the other two suspects fled after clashes with police forces.
Separately, Justin said a police officer died on the spot and two others sustained injuries on Tuesday after they were involved in a collision on highway in Torit State.
He added that the three officers were travelling by motorcycle.
