A 45-year-old man died on Friday after being knocked by a vehicle belonging to the National Security Service (NSS) in Aweil town of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

Garang Khon Awan was knocked while riding a bicycle.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, Captain Awiit Arkangelo, the deputy traffic police chief in the state confirmed the incident, adding that some security officers were arrested for more investigations.

He said the vehicle involved in the accident has been confiscated. The police officer cautioned the public against reckless driving on the road.
