The Misseriya tribe of South Kordofan have said that they demand a share of the oil present in their territory.

A source told Radio Tamazuj that the Ministry of Finance should adopt the recommendations by the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation and Justice to allow the Misseriya their two percent share.

He said the Ministry of Finance have rejected this deal before on the pretext that the Misseriya's oil share was lost to South Sudan when it seceded.
