South Sudan President Salva Kiir, who doubles as chairman of the SPLM party, has directed the opening of a political school for the SPLM party.

Kiir, according to a circular issued on 19 July, urged all cadres of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) to attend the institution for lessons he deemed would be important for the party officials.

The circular directed those who would be joining the institution to be in contact with the office of the deputy chairman of the ruling SPLM party, James Wani Igga.

The location of the new political school was not mentioned in the circular.
