The Aweil State Legislative Assembly returned from a recess of three months on Tuesday.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, chairperson of the parliamentary committee for legal affairs, Kon Deng Chan said all lawmakers had turned out to attend the opening session in Aweil town.

Deng further said that the state parliament will discuss the key challenges facing the locals in the state.
