Aweil East education ministry to recruit over 300 teachers
The education ministry in South Sudan’s Aweil state is preparing to recruit 300 primary school and 70 secondary school teachers, a senior official said on Thursday.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, the state education minister Sabrino Majok Majok said the move aims at promoting quality education.
“The current manpower of the teaching staff is only 974, which cannot be equivalent to the 200 primary schools and 9 secondary schools across the state,” said Majok.
The senior education official, however, said the ministry would not increase the number of primary and secondary schools in the state.
Last year, the national government allocated 115, 455, 190 South Sudanese Pounds to support quality education in the state.
