At least four people including a government official were killed by unknown gunmen in an attack on a cattle camp in Northern Liech state on Tuesday, a local official said.

Lam Tungwar, Minister of Information in Northern Liech, told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that the Executive Director of Greater Koch County Nhial Chan Gany was killed alongside three other people when unknown gunmen attacked a cattle camp near Bentiu town.

The state government spokesman accused criminals from Rubkona of involvement in the incident. He pointed out that attackers attempted to raid cattle but they were repulsed.

Lam revealed that security forces have been deployed to provide security in the area. He claimed that the security situation returned to normal after the incident.
